Vaathi OTT Rights: Dhanush’s Vaathi to stream soon on Netflix

Vaathi, the Tamil language film, is releasing theatrically on February 17th 2023. It was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu audio languages. While the Tamil film is titled Vaathi, the latter is titled ‘Sir’. Many changes were made in the Telugu version, like the character name etc., to appease the audience. The movie has Dhanush in the lead role, and fans are excited about this movie. Vaathi satellite rights have been bought by SUN TV. The film has already locked its OTT release platform. A one-minute-plus teaser was shared by Sithara Entertainment more than five months back. The teaser has 4.9M views and has got 240K likes. The description of the trailer sets an interesting premise for the film. It reads, “Education is more than about books, marks and results. The right mix of chalk and challenges can shape the future generation ”.

The film’s cast includes Dhanush, Samyuktha Menon, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Pammi Sai, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Motta Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi, and Praveena. Venky Atluri is the writer and the director of Vaathi. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. It is produced by Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios.

Balamurugan stands against the institute. Taking a stand against those selling education for profit, the actor is seen in action mode in the trailer. It is a coming-of-age action drama movie.
