The Google Pixel 7a, the much-awaited mid-range successor to the Pixel 6a, is expected to arrive in mid-2023. The Pixel 7a prototype listed on eBay had a logo that looked more like a Pac-Man silhouette than the “G” logo found on Pixel smartphones. The device was listed for $5,000 initially but was no longer available for purchase at the time of writing. The rumoured Pixel 7a is expected to have a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and may be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, similar to the Pixel 7.

As per previous leaks, the smartphone may feature 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. It’s probable that the device will operate using the Android 13 operating system. The rear panel of the Pixel 7a may have a raised camera strip, similar to the Pixel 7 series. On the front, the device is expected to have slim bezels and a slightly thick chin, with the front camera having a hole-punch cutout in the centre.

An eBay user listed a Pixel 7a prototype for sale, but it was no longer available. The device was priced at $5,000, but the price was lowered to $2,500 and then to $1,650 with no buyers. The Pixel 7a is expected to be priced under $500 when it launches. It may have a camera setup similar to the Pixel 7, according to earlier reports.

However, Google has not yet revealed plans for the Pixel 7a’s release, so these rumours should be taken with a grain of salt. The Pixel 7a is expected to be unveiled at the Google I/O developers conference on May 10, along with the Pixel Fold.
