Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Realme GT Neo 5 SE, and POCO F5 could be the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, which went official today. The SoC offers a 1+3+4 CPU architecture, which features a main Kryo CPU core that clocks at 2.91GHz. It promises 50 percent improved performance as compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip from last year. It also promises two times the performance in the GPU department.

Qualcomm said that the first phones with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset would be released in China by the end of this month (March). As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Realme GT Neo 5 SE, and POCO F5 will come equipped with the new chip.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It may come with a 20-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It will come preloaded with Android 13 and MIUI 13.

Rumours are rife that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. It is likely to debut by the end of this month in China. The same phone is expected to get rebranded as the POCO F5 in the global market. The F5 may debut as early as April in markets outside of China.

Realme GT Neo 5 SE specifications (rumoured)

The Realme GT Neo 5 SE is expected to arrive with a 6.74-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The SD7+G2-powered device is expected to offer 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W charging. It will come preloaded with the Realme UI 4.0 based Android 13 OS. The GT Neo 5 SE is expected to launch in April in China.
