Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra to feature LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0, three configurations tipped

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s RAM and storage configurations have been leaked by tipster Revengus. The South Korean tech giant is expected to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in August this year. The company is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at the event. It is also expected to remove the covers from the Galaxy Tab S9 series during the same event.

Like the Galaxy Tab S8 series, its successor is expected to include three models, such as the Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Continue reading to learn about the latest information on the Ultra model.

As revealed by the tipster, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s base model will have 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The second model will have 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Its topmost variant will offer 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

At present, the UFS 4.0 chip does not come in a 128GB option. Hence, the entry-level variant of the tablet offers 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Even Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered flagship phones offering 128GB storage options are equipped with a UFS 3.1 chip. The tipster also added the Galaxy Tab S9 would be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants.

The Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra are said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy, which also powers the Galaxy S23 lineup. All three models are expected to arrive in Wi-Fi only and 5G variants. The series will come equipped with the Android 13 OS and the latest version of One UI 5.

The Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra are expected to feature an 11-inch, 12.6-inch, and 14.6-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and an under-display fingerprint scanner. All three models will have support for the S Pen and keyboard. The entire series is likely to receive an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The Plus and Ultra models are said to support 45W fast charging.
