Teaser images on the site have confirmed certain features of the laptop. Notably, the successor will boast a lighter body, weighing just 990g, compared to last year’s model, which was 1.2kg. This reduction in weight indicates a significant improvement in portability and user convenience.

While the brand hasn’t disclosed extensive specifications, it has assured users that the upcoming JioBook will feature 4G connectivity, much like its previous model. Powered by JioOS, an Android-based operating system, the laptop will run on an octa-core processor. Furthermore, the company guarantees an all-day battery life, making it an appealing option for users seeking prolonged usability.

The brand initially introduced its first-generation JioBook, priced at Rs 15,799, exclusively available at Reliance Digital stores. The laptop showcased an 11.6-inch display, a webcam, two USB ports, and a headphone jack. It was driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC. As for the second-generation JioBook, it is anticipated to be priced below Rs 20,000 and will be accessible through multiple retail partners, including Amazon, expanding its availability to a wider audience.

In the month of July, Jio is all set to launch its second product in India. Prior to this, the company revealed the Jio Bharat 4G feature phone, which is attractively priced at Rs 999. Since the JioBook also requires a 4G SIM, it is likely to offer similarly affordable data plans to make the laptop more accessible to price-conscious consumers. By providing budget-friendly options, Jio aims to cater to a broader audience and expand its reach in the market.
