OnePlus Ace 3’s specifications tipped, expected to launch before OnePlus 12

OnePlus Ace 3’s specifications have been seemingly tipped. Without mentioning the device’s name, tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked its key specifications. The leak reveals that it will be a flagship device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Since the OnePlus 12, featuring the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also expected to debut this year, it appears that the OnePlus’ SD8G2 phone could be called the OnePlus Ace 3 when it arrives in the market.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to debut in December of this year in China. There is a possibility that the Ace 3 may debut by the end of September or October in China. The leaked specs of the Ace 3 also suggest that it may debut as a rebranded version of the OnePlus 12R, which is expected to break cover in January 2024 in the global market. According to the tipster, the alleged OnePlus Ace 3 will arrive with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a centred punch-hole and curved edges. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to run on ColorOS 13-based Android 13.

At present, there is no information available about the front camera of the OnePlus Ace 3. Its rear camera module may include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08D10 ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel IMX709 telephoto camera.

The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which works at 3.2GHz. It will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support.

The OnePlus Ace 3 is the tentative name of the device. In terms of specifications, the device seems to be weaker than the recently unveiled Ace 2 Pro, which features a better camera setup.
