The much-anticipated OnePlus Open foldable phone is gearing up for its global debut, scheduled for October 19th. In the lead-up to the launch, press renders and pricing information for the device have surfaced, providing us with a glimpse of what to expect.

According to reports from WinFuture, the OnePlus Open will be priced at $1,699 in the US market. This pricing strategy positions OnePlus competitively, offering its foldable device at a more affordable price point than its rivals. Notably, the OnePlus Open is $100 cheaper than competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Google Pixel Fold, both priced at $1,800.



Accompanying the pricing details, press renders of the OnePlus Open have been revealed, shedding light on its design. The images showcase the phone’s substantial rear camera array and offer a closer look at the two available colour options.

OnePlus Open specifications

The OnePlus Open is said to feature a 7.8-inch 2K internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 6.3-inch FHD+ outer OLED display. Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and paired with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.



As for the cameras, the OnePlus Open gets a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP primary camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 64MP 3x telephoto camera. On the software front, the OnePlus Open is anticipated to run on OxygenOS 13 Build, specially optimized for foldable devices.

Additionally, previous leaks suggest that the device will be powered by a 4,800mAh battery, capable of supporting 67W fast charging.
