Yatra, the Telugu-language biographical film, was released in 2019. The film is a tribute to the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR). It tells the story of the politician deciding to embark on a 900-mile walking journey as part of his election campaign. Mammootty essayed the character of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. It received critical acclaim, but the movie did not click at the box office. After four years, it has been confirmed that Yatra 2 is in the works. Yatra 2 OTT Rights and Release Date 

The prequel film Yatra is available on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on a membership video-on-demand basis. There are high chances that Yatra 2 might stream on the same player. However, an official confirmation is yet to come.

As the validation is pending, chances persist that other streamers, including Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Sun NXT, Zee5, SonyLIV, Aha Telugu/Aha, Simply South, JioCinema, and others, might try to acquire the digital rights to the film as well.

Mammootty unveiled the first look of Yatra 2 on his social media handles on October 9, 2023. The poster features Mammootty and Jiiva. Jiiva essays Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the film.
