Haami 2 received positive reviews. The Times of India gave it 3 out of 5 stars. According to them, Haami 2 is “a light, engaging holiday entertainer.” They added, “Haami 2 happens to be a lot more watchable than Haami; it has better screenwriting and lines, the slapstick has been reined in, and it’s not as preachy. Gargee and Shiboprosad share a seasoned screen dynamic; the latter’s character, which incidentally found a big following after the first film, has been fine-tuned to make it more effortless.” Reviewing the film, Telegraph India wrote, “Despite some over-the-top melodrama and plot points that play to the gallery, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Haami 2, which brings back the much-loved couple Laltu (Shiboprosad) and Mitali (Gargee Roy Chowdhury), manages to tug at your heartstrings, leaving you with a warm glow as the end credits roll.” Praising the child artists, they mentioned that the film rightfully belongs to them. On IMDb, Haami 2 has a rating of 8.1/10 while filing the article.
