Dyson has introduced its Purifier Big+Quiet in India. The purifier claims to be effective for large spaces up to 1076 sq. ft. and offers a strong airflow with an improved filtration system, with the HEPA H13 grade filters. Let us take a closer look at its features, price and availability.

Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet: Features

The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet employs Cone Aerodynamics, utilising the Coanda effect to merge air streams smoothly. This creates a powerful, focused jet that can project over 10 metres with minimal noise, claiming more than double the airflow of previous Dyson Purifiers. Users can customise the angles of the projected air, and Dyson has developed a software algorithm to control a single jet’s movement in an up-and-down motion, in order to mimic natural breeze patterns.

The purifier is designed to consistently purify air, even in spacious areas. It targets common indoor pollutants, such as tobacco smoke, cleaning products, building materials, and outdoor pollution that infiltrates homes. The device is equipped with a fully sealed filtration system incorporating a HEPA H-13 filter. This filter claims to capture 99.95% of particle pollutants, including tiny particles like dust and allergens measuring as small as 0.1 microns. It promises a filter lifespan of up to 2 years.

The device promises to deliver powerful airflow while keeping noise to a minimum. It achieves this through a Broadband Helmholtz silencer and a labyrinth seal. This system captures and disperses specific soundwaves to minimise low-frequency noise. The labyrinth seal plays a role in controlling air recirculation, extending the airflow path to decrease energy held and reduce noise while recirculating air. With soft mounting, the motor within the compressor helps minimise vibration-related noise.

The purifier is equipped with built-in sensors that continuously monitor particle and gas levels. Users can conveniently track indoor air quality through live results displayed on the LCD screen and the MyDyson app. These sensors operate with a unique algorithm, and claim to respond to environmental changes for effective purification automatically. The app also serves as a remote control, allowing users to manage purification settings even when away from home and providing the option to schedule and monitor purification.
