Fear Street 4 in the Works? Speculations regarding the release of this and more sequels

Fear Street Trilogy focuses on the slasher and supernatural subgenres. These movies are based on the novel series of the same name. News reports are suggesting the trilogy is about to expand its base, and we might be getting Fear Street 4 in the near future, and there ware conversations regarding more movies being made.

For those unaware of this universe, the novels have been penned by R. L. Stine and have been bestsellers in the category. Following their success, the movie franchisee was envisaged. All three movies that have been released so far have been directed by Leigh Janiak.

Fear Street 4: Is it in the works?

With the popularity of the Netflix trilogy, the Fear Street book series writer R. L. Stine has always been optimistic that additional Fear Street movies would come out. However, we now have an official confirmation with Stine revealing in October 2023 that more Fear Street instalments are in the works. From what we know, Fear Street 4 is in the writing stages. Netflix Films Head Scott Stuber announced the same in November. The current status of other films of this franchisee remains up in the air but we can assume to get more news once this movie goes on floors.

Fear Street 4 Release

Given that the film is still in the writing stage currently, it is safe to assume that Fear Street 4 will go into production sometime next year. This means that Fear Street 4 may be available for viewing only by late 2024 or 2025 based on its pre-and post-production work. However, an official confirmation of the same is still pending. Fear Street 4 will be available on Netflix.

Director Leigh Janiak stated in July 2021 that she would want to see more films in the series after the initial three. She had expressed interest in bringing Harry Rooker, a.k.a. The Milkman, to life in a 1950s-set horror movie. Members of the cast have also indicated a desire to come back.

Crew of Fear Street 4 

It was revealed in December last year that Chloe Okuno will helm the direction of the upcoming Fear Street instalment. Fear Street 4 would have Chernin Entertainment as one of the production banners. Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready are its producers. Additional crew details are yet to come.

Will There Be More Fear Street Movies After The Fourth
