Infinix Smart 8 HD launch date, design, key specifications officially confirmed

Infinix Smart 8 HD launch date has been officially confirmed. The Hong Kong-based brand confirmed that it will be unveiled on December 8th, 2023, in India. It has also revealed the following poster to reveal its rear design and color variants. In addition, it has also confirmed the key specifications of the device.

The Infinix Smart 8 HD will be available in Timber Black, Galaxy White, Shiny Gold, and Crystal Green. While the image has not revealed the front side of the phone, its textured rear panel has a square-shaped camera module that houses a dual-camera setup and a ring LED flash. The right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a power key, which is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

Infinix has confirmed that the Smart 8 HD will have a 6.6-inch LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution, 500 nits of peak brightness for comfortable readability under sunlight, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with UFS 2.2 storage and a USB-C port. The rest of the specifications of the device are yet to be revealed. Apart from the Smart 8 HD, several new Infinix phones are in the works.

To recall, the Infinix Smart 7 HD was introduced with a price tag of Rs 5,999 (~$72) in India in April of this year. It is likely that the Smart 8 HD may arrive with a similar price tag.

Infinix Smart 8, Hot 40 series, Note 40 series in works

In October, the Smart 8 appeared in the Google Play Console database with specifications such as an HD+ display, a Unisoc T606 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and Android 13 OS. The Hot 40 series has also received a couple of certifications in recent weeks. Its appearance in the Play Console has revealed that the Hot 40i will have an HD+ display, 4 GB of RAM, and a Unisoc T606 chipset; the Hot 40 will arrive with an FHD+ screen, 8GB of RAM, and a Helio G88; and the Hot 40 Pro will be equipped with an FHD+ display, 8GB of RAM, and a Helio G99 chipset. All three phones will run on Android 13 with a layer of XOS on top.

In addition, the Infinix Buds NC earbuds and Note 40 Pro smartphones have also received Bluetooth SIG certification. These devices are expected to launch in December of this year and January 2024 in different markets.
