Martin Freeman, Jenna Ortega’s movie Miller’s Girl to Premiere Soon; Check Out First Look

In recent developments, the new movie starring Martin Freeman and Jenna Ortega called Miller’s Girl is now set to make its world premiere at the 2024 Palm Springs Festival. As per reports, it is supposed to hit the screens in January  At the festival, which runs from January 4 to 15, Ortega, Freeman, and Bartlett are scheduled to attend the Palm Springs screening. Moreover, as a part of the festival’s Talking Pictures program, the cast and the creatives will answer questions post-screening.

Miller’s Girl Release Date

As a feature writer and director, Bartlett makes his feature writing and directing debut with the movie, adapted from his 2011 play. The film will premiere at the festival on January 11 before hitting cinemas on Friday, January 26.

Daniel Brothers captured the magic on camera, while Vanara Taing is the editor of the movie. Cheyenne Ford did the production design whereas Nate Dahlkemper was signed on as the art director. Katie Laxton brought it all to life with the set decorations. On the other hand, Lauren Bott dressed the cast to impress, making sure everyone looked the part. 

Miller’s Girl Storyline

This film tells the story of how a failed writer named Jonathan Miller (Freeman) and his student Cairo Sweet (Ortega) form a complex bond. They realize they have blurred lines beyond academics when a creative writing assignment prompts uncomfortable realities. The picture revolves around the imminent, inexorable attraction between two heroes who become each other’s heroes and villains.

Wednesday Shooting Resumed

Meanwhile, earlier reports had stated that Ortega would begin shooting for the hit Netflix series Wednesday, in Ireland in late April. The first season was filmed in Romania. According to Netflix, the first season has racked up 252.1 million views so far. This has made the show the streaming giant’s most-loved one! On the other hand, in the film world, Ortega recently confirmed that due to her Wednesday schedule, she won’t be able to return for Scream VI, after helping the horror franchise’s best opening weekend ever with $44.4 million.
