POCO M6 5G launch date confirmed, here’s what to expect

POCO has confirmed that it will unveil the POCO M6 5G on December 22nd, 2024. While it is expected to be released in other markets, India will be the first to receive it. The device will be positioned lower than the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2-powered POCO M6 Pro 5G, which was announced with a price tag of Rs 11,999 a couple of months ago. According to POCO, the POCO M6 5G will be the most affordable 5G phone. In addition, it has also been confirmed that the device will arrive with the Dimensity 6100 Plus chip onboard. The M6 images show that it has a waterdrop notch display on the front, a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and a 50-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. It will be available in two shades, such as purple and black.

According to reports, the POCO M6 5G will have a 6.74-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. On the front, it will feature a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel will be fitted with a 50-megapixel dual-camera system.

The Dimensity 6100 Plus-powered M6 is expected to ship with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It will have a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It will run on Android 13 and MIUI 14.

The POCO M6 5G will be nothing but a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, which is available in India through Amazon. As mentioned above, the M6 will be solely sold through Flipkart in the country. As far as pricing, it is likely to be priced at around Rs 10,000 (~$120).
