Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 battery size tipped to be significantly bigger than previous generation

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6’s battery size has been tipped in a report by GalaxyClub. The leak reveals that its battery will be significantly larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which debuted last year in July. While Samsung is unlikely to confirm anything about the Z Flip 6 yet, it appears that the device will be unveiled in July of this year.

Since the launch is a couple of months away, the rumour mill is gradually leaking details about it. So far, reports have revealed details about the display size and the primary camera of the device. Here is a look at the Z Flip 6’s battery details that have emerged in the latest leak.

According to the report, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may come with a 4,000mAh battery, making it the phone with the largest battery in the Galaxy Z Flip series. This would be a combination of two battery units, one measuring 1,097mAh and the other 2,790mAh (rated values). While the combined rated value is expected to be 3,887mAh, its typical capacity could be a 4,000mAh battery. In comparison, the Galaxy S24, with a 4,000mAh battery, has a rated value of 3,880mAh.

Despite Samsung increasing the size of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it remains smaller than the current generation Oppo Find N3 Flip, which boasts a 4,400mAh battery. The South Korean company may still opt to provide 25W charging for the Z Flip 6, which is slower than the Find N3 Flip’s 44W fast charging.

Rumours surrounding the Galaxy Z Flip 6 have claimed that Samsung will offer larger internal and external displays on the device. The external screen size may increase up to 3.9 inches as compared to the 3.4-inch cover display available on the Z Flip 5. However, there is no word on the internal screen size of the device.

Samsung has been offering a 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual-camera setup on the Z Flip series since the first-generation model, which debuted in 2020. Reports surrounding the Z Flip 6 claim that it will have a 50-megapixel main camera.
