Oppo Reno 12, Reno 12 Pro specifications leak almost everything well before launch

OPPO Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro specifications have emerged in a new report by MSPowerUser. In November, the company unveiled the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro, equipped with the Dimensity 8200 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, respectively. In January of this year, the brand announced the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro, featuring the Dimensity 7050 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively, in India and other Asian countries.

Surprisingly, the rumour mill has now started talking about the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, which are expected to launch at least after a six-month time gap after the Reno 11 series’ launch in China. Here is a look at all the details that have emerged about the Reno 12 series so far.

OPPO Reno 11 series

According to the publication, the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will have a quad-curved OLED panel of 6.7 inches. The screen will offer an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones are expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery and offer 67W fast charging. The Reno 12 duo are expected an IP65-rated dust and water-resistant chassis.

The Reno series has offered a 32-megapixel front camera since the Reno 6 series debuted in 2021. However, a new leak reveals that the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will have a new autofocus-enabled 50-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, both phones will sport a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. While the cameras appear nearly identical on both phones, some of the camera sensors might differ.

The leak further states that the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will feature MediaTek chipsets. While the Pro model will have the Dimensity 9200 onboard, the standard variant may feature a new MediaTek, which has the “MTK 24M” codename. Both devices are expected to ship with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Pro model may also arrive in a 512GB storage version.

According to the report, the Reno 12 and 12 Pro may launch in June in China. At present, there is no information on the global launch of the Reno 12 series.
