Vivo X Fold 2 specifications leak reveals 120Hz foldable AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 50MP triple camera, and more

Vivo’s next-generation foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold 2, is set to come out in China later this month. The device’s specs have been made public by presentation slides that were leaked and posted on Weibo.

The upcoming launch event will also see the arrival of two other products, such as the Vivo Pad 2 flagship tablet and the Vivo X Flip, which will be the company’s first-ever vertically foldable smartphone. The Vivo X Fold 2 will arrive as a successor to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered X Fold+, which debuted last year in China. Here is a look at the leaked specifications of the X Fold 2.

Vivo X Fold 2 specifications (rumoured)

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to feature an E6 AMOLED foldable screen of 8.03 inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels. The screen is expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1800 nits. The X Fold 2 will be fitted with a 6.53-inch AMOLED E6 cover screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. It is expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits.

The X Fold 2 is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device will also feature the Vivo V2 ISP, which will enhance the camera performance. It was expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which should be enough for all the multitasking and storage needs of the users.

The Vivo X Fold 2 will run on Android 13 out of the box, and it will be layered with Vivo’s OriginOS. The foldable phone is expected to pack a 4800mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Other reports have revealed that the rear camera system of the X Fold 2 will consist of a 50-megapixel IMX866 primary sensor, a 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto lens.

At present, there is no word on the price of the Vivo X Fold 2. It is expected to arrive in black, red, and blue shades. Also, it is unclear whether it will be released in markets outside of China.
