OnePlus 12 display specifications leak, promising significant upgrades

Recent leaks have given us insights into the camera specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 12, and now, display specifications of the 2024 flagship phone have leaked, revealing significant improvements.

Prominent leaker Digital Chat Station recently shared the display specifications of the rumoured OnePlus 12 on Weibo. According to the leak, the OnePlus 12 will feature a notably enhanced display compared to its predecessors. The device is expected to stretch to a 6.82-inch screen with a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Impressively, it will also be capable of scaling down to 1Hz to conserve battery life. Notably, OnePlus has chosen to collaborate with a domestic display manufacturer, BOE, deviating from its prior reliance on Samsung-made panels.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 12 might introduce 2,160Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye fatigue and achieve a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, surpassing the 2,400 nits of the Pixel 8 Pro and matching the OPPO Find X6 Pro.

OnePlus 12 specifications (expected)

The OnePlus 12 is likely to feature a 6.82-inch curved AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, accompanied by up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

On the front,  the OnePlus 12 is expected to sport a triple camera setup on the rear. This configuration may consist of a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP 3x telephoto sensor. The handset will likely launch with Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 and be fueled by a substantial 5,400mAh battery, with 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
