OPPO is reportedly developing the OPPO Find X7 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Recent reports have revealed crucial details about the specifications and design of the Find X7 and X7 Pro. Particularly, the Pro model is highly anticipated to be one of the best camera phones of 2024, as it is expected to feature dual periscope telephoto cameras, a groundbreaking innovation in the world of smartphones. Two of the upcoming OPPO smartphones identified with PHZ110 and PHY110 were approved by China’s 3C certification platform earlier today. It is said that these devices will be called the Find X7 and the Find X7 Pro, respectively, when they arrive on the Chinese market.

A couple of weeks ago, the Find X7 was benchmarked on AnTuTu and Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications. The X7 will come equipped with the Dimensity 9300, which also powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. In addition, the device is expected to arrive with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and support 100W wired charging, as per the 3C certification.

It is speculated that the curved-edge OLED panel of the device will support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. At present, there is no clear information available about the camera specifications of the X7.

The Find X7 Pro is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The 3C certification of the device has revealed that it may support 100W charging and possibly 50W wireless charging. There is no information about the battery size of the device.

The leaked schematic of the Find X7 Pro shown above reveals its punch-hole OLED display has micro curvature on all four sides. It will feature a BOE X1 6.82-inch OLED panel, which is also available on the OnePlus 12. The screen is expected to support a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The schematic shows that the device is equipped with an alert slider.

In all likelihood, the Find X7 Pro will have a 32-megapixel camera on the front. The back panel of the device will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel LYT-900 main camera, which is said to be a modified version of the one-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor. The main camera of the X7 Pro will be complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a pair of 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras. One of the periscope units will be a Sony IMX890, offering up to 3x optical zoom, and the other will be an IMX858 camera sensor with up to 6x optical zoom.

The X7 and X7 Pro are expected to run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14. The standard X7 may likely sport an almost identical design to the Pro variant.

According to reports, the OPPO Find X7 series will debut by the end of January in China. To recall, the Find X6 and X6 Pro were not released in markets outside of China. Therefore, it is unclear whether the X7 series will be released in the global market.
